Our Ministries
Next Generation (Children) Ministry
The Next Generation Ministry exists to create a Christ-centered foundation for our children, helping them encounter God’s presence in age-appropriate, engaging ways. Our prayer is that every child will KNOW God personally through worship, stories, and meaningful connection. As they mature, we guide them to GROW in God by developing spiritual habits, building character, and understanding biblical truth. Ultimately, we empower them to SOW God’s love within their families, schools, and communities—shining as young disciples who reflect Christ in all they do.
Seniors of Riverside
The Seniors of Riverside Ministry honors and uplifts the wisdom, faith, and lived experiences of our senior members. Through worship, fellowship, and intentional care, we desire each senior to continue to KNOW God in fresh and transformative ways. We provide opportunities to GROW in God through Bible study, service, mentorship, and meaningful community engagement. With grace and strength, our seniors are encouraged to SOW God’s love by sharing their testimonies, supporting church initiatives, and serving as spiritual anchors for the generations that follow.
4 Twelve (Youth) and Young Adult Ministry
The Youth and Young Adult Ministry is committed to fostering authentic encounters with God’s presence and power among teens and young adults navigating life’s transitions. We help them KNOW God by creating safe, relevant, and Spirit-filled spaces where their questions are welcomed and their faith is cultivated. Through discipleship, community, and practical teaching, they GROW in God, developing spiritual maturity and clarity of purpose. We then mobilize them to SOW God’s love through leadership, service opportunities, outreach, and bold witness—in church, on campus, and throughout the city.
Grow (Discipleship) Ministry
The Discipleship Ministry leads Riverside in fulfilling the Great Commission by nurturing believers from spiritual curiosity to Christ-centered maturity. Our mission is to help every member KNOW God through intentional spiritual practices, biblical teaching, and meaningful relationships. We equip individuals to GROW in God by developing habits of prayer, study, fellowship, and service that deepen their faith. Finally, we prepare disciples to SOW God’s love by serving others, engaging in evangelism, leading small groups, and living out the gospel in word and deed.
Impact the City – Community Service Ministry
Impact the City is Riverside’s hands-on community service ministry, dedicated to being the heart and hands of Jesus in Nashville and beyond. We seek to create opportunities for individuals and families to KNOW God more deeply by engaging in compassionate service that reflects Christ’s love in action. Through training, partnerships, and meaningful outreach experiences, volunteers GROW in God as they develop a lifestyle of empathy, justice, and service. As we meet needs, build relationships, and uplift our neighbors, we SOW God’s love—demonstrating the gospel through food distribution, health initiatives, education support, and community empowerment efforts. Impact the City transforms faith into action and ensures that Riverside Chapel remains a beacon of hope in our community.
Start Serving
At Riverside Nashville, our mission is to walk alongside you as you discover your unique calling. We want to help you KNOW God by learning how He has made you and the special ways He’s inviting you to serve. We’re here to help you GROW in God by providing support, training, and connections to service opportunities that match your gifts and passions. And as you serve, you will have the chance to SOW God’s love here at Riverside Nashville and throughout our community. We are thankful for your willingness to share your gifts and make a difference in the lives of others.
We invite you to complete and submit a Ministry Volunteer Form. In the form, we invite you to share a bit about yourself and the areas where you feel called to serve. Your responses help us connect you with opportunities that fit your interests, strengths, and schedule.
To ensure Riverside is a safe and welcoming place for everyone—especially children and seniors—all volunteers are asked to complete this form and a standard background check. Once everything is received and approved, someone from our Ministry Placement Team will reach out to you with the next steps.
We are truly excited to serve alongside you as we lift up Jesus Christ together.
