Current COVID-19 Church Re-Gathering Protocol
Previous Protocol
Your worship experience will begin as you pull onto the Riverside Church campus. You will be met by a Riverside parking lot greeter who will direct you to proceed to the sanctuary entrance canopy. Please follow their directions.
The church entrances by both the church office and fellowship hall will not be used during this time. The main sanctuary entrance will be the only entrance used for entering the building.
Once under the canopy, all worshippers will be asked to identify the category that applies to them: Are you a participant, a registered member, a non-registered member, or a non-registered guest? All attendees will be asked to park in a designated area. You are to remain in your vehicle until you receive a text message, notifying you to proceed to the main entrance.
Everyone is required to wear a mask upon entering the building. As you enter the building, you will be directed to one of our check-in stations where a temperature scan will be conducted. Your temperature must be less than 100 degrees Fahrenheit to proceed. If your temperature exceeds 100.5 degrees Fahrenheit you will be directed to discuss the next steps with one of our designated medical officers.
Once you have cleared the temperature screening, you will be checked-in by a member of our First Impressions team to ensure you are registered. Please remember to pre-register right here on our website. An usher or greeter will walk you to your seat. We ask that you keep your mask on for the duration of your time in the building.
If you need to use the restroom during our worship experience, please follow these protocols:
Exit the sanctuary through the middle side doors, where an usher will direct you to the proper men’s or women’s facility. Please maintain proper 6-foot distancing as you wait to use the facilities. A deacon or deaconess will be stationed outside of the facility and will give directions as to how many people will be able to occupy that space at the same time.
Until further notice, the water fountains will continue to be off-limits.
We also ask that you maintain physical distancing from those who are not in your family group.
Hand sanitizer stations are located throughout the building, and we ask that you frequently sanitize your hands.
At the end of our worship experience, ushers will dismiss attendees by rows and guide you to exit through the main sanctuary doors. After exiting the sanctuary, please walk directly ahead and exit using the doors at the main entrance.
As you plan to attend our in-person services, we ask that you be respectful, and adhere to the directions given by all of our ushers, greeters, deacons, deaconesses, and volunteers who are working diligently to ensure the safety of all who attend our worship experience.
When we do all these things, we not only protect ourselves but each other. We thank you so much for taking the time to learn the necessary protocols that are in place so that we can worship together again as a Riverside family in person. We can’t wait to see you!
